Somethings Just Gotta Change in this World

What’s the deal with Halloween nowadays I mean when I was a kid there would be lineups at doors to get your hands on some candy and say Trick or Treat. Last night at my house we had about 15 kids in total come to our house and about ten years ago I’d be giving out candy for hours and hours. I don’t know if parents are scared to have their kids out now, I know there isn’t a lack of kids out there. It sucks for kids nowadays with all this madness that is going on in the world today that kids can’t even go out trick or treating. Maybe with the new generation kids would rather sit at home and play on their computer or something but this is a tradition for kids to have some fun with. Whatever happened to kids just going from door to door and filling up their pillow cases and then coming home and showing their parents and siblings exactly what they got. Something needs to change in this society as people are getting too crazy and kids just are not being allowed to grow up the way they used to. This really frustrates the hell out of me and I’m glad I have this open forum to talk about it. Can’t things go back to the way they used to be!

Anyways, last night was a quiet night for the kid as after giving out a few candies at my house I headed over to the Cobster’s house where we watched the leafs game and played a little online poker at partypoker. We were still real tired from our exhausting weekend so we just chilled on the couches with our laptops in front of us and watched our faithful Maple Leafs pull off a nice win. On my way home from the Cobster’s house I saw a cop all over this kid on the side of the road, he must have been flying cause this cop was pissed and just flat out giving it to the kid. As I drove by him the poor kid looked like he just pissed his pants from being so scared, as the cop had him get out of his car and spread em. That was a pretty big ordeal for this suburb kid to see, its not very often we see that kind of stuff goin down in the mean streets of Oakville, Ontario.

Back to Halloween and the kids, lets make something happen in this world where people can just live life the way they want to and not have too worry about all this crap that goes on around us anymore. If there was only a way to change this I’d be all over it. There are just somethings and traditions in this world that need to go back to the way they used to.
