A Poker Party Night

Tonight we thought we would take it easy and just have a few beers at the cobsters house and play some online poker at Poker Party. There were three of us just chillin and we went to the beer store and picked up a 28 pack of Coors Light. We picked up the beers and we were ready to light up some action at Poker Party. I signed up for a $10 sit and go and I was off. I wasn’t really feeling it early on but I started makin a move after a couple of chiefs got knocked out. I was sitting in fourth place when I was sitting on K10 suited and the flop comes K,10,5. Immediately I flop two pair but there are two spades on the board as well. I play the hand out and make a pretty big bet after the turn card and the other guy raises me, I then move all-in and he takes a little time before he calls. The river comes up and its the Jack of spades and the other guy wins by hitting the flush on the river. I’m out and pissed. Who calls an all-in bet going on a flush draw. Anyways, I quickly pound a couple of beers and get ready for another sit and go. I have probably had about 6 beers by now and I’m waiting to find the next game. I finally get into a game and little do I know that I’ve signed up for a seven card stud tourney. God damn I said to myself. Here I am thinking I’m playing a texas holdem tourney and all of a sudden I see cards everywhere and then I realize I signed up for the wrong bloody tournament (hopefully this wasn’t because of the Coors).

So, I continued playing poker for the majority of the night and I could not get into the money. I finished fourth three times and I got eliminated on the river twice.
