NHL Opening Night
It has been a long time coming for us hockey fans as we had to sit painfully through a long and cold winter with absolutely no hockey to watch. But, the boys are back and we are set to cheer on our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. All the boys are getting together at our bud Cob’s house for the opening game. The Leafs are taking on our arch rival and most hated opponent the Ottawa Senators. We all gather at the Cobster’s house and we are getting ready to watch the game with a huge order of Dominos Pizza coming.

The game was pretty exciting even though the Leafs eventually lost to the bloody Senators in a shootout. Not a bad start to the season even though we lost our best player Mats Sundin to an eye injury. Damn! During the intermissions I played a little online poker and added a few dinero’s to my account. I had one big hand where I was in the big blind and I was dealt 9,10 suited. The flop came 7,8,J (rainbow) and I flopped the straight. One guy put in a bet of $50 on the flop and I re-raised him to make the call another $50. He called. The turn comes and it’s a 2. The guy places another bet this time its for $100, and I again re-raise him to make it another $100 to call. At this point I’ve got him on either the same hand as me or a set. If he has the set already made I just don’t want too see another card come up that was on the flop and hit potential quads. I had no worry about that as a 5 came up. In the end I put him all-in he calls and we flip our cards over and he has a set of Jacks, and I had the straight and I just won a huge pot. I loved it. Thanks Poker Party for the donations.
